Inscription Anniversary Celebration - July 7th, 2012

This past Saturday, July 7th, the Joggins Fossil Institute celebrated its 4th year anniversary of being inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. We are one of 16 UNESCO World Heritage Sites across Canada, and the only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site in Nova Scotia (Grand Pré and Lunenburg are cultural World Heritage Sites).

It was a beautiful, sunny day and visitors were able to enjoy a slice of celebration cake, a BBQ, and of course, beach tours!

Below are some photos from our anniversary day:

Thank you to all of our visitors and staff for helping us to celebrate our anniversary - We hope to see you next year!
