This is the scene today at the Joggins Fossil Cliffs. The recent cold weather (-39 C yesterday and -34 C today with the wind-chill) is causing ice to form on the beach. Sometimes it can form large ice cakes which make loud noises when they begin to thaw. Keep watching this space for new developments.
