The Joggins Fossil Cliffs are situated on the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia, Canada. Inscribed on the World Heritage List in July 2008, the site is described as the "Coal-Age Galapagos". The awesome cliffs and award-winning visitor centre are the jewel in the world's Carboniferous Period crown
Wow, I love the detail in the photos. My favourite being the one looking through the openning in the cliff. Also, the brilliant red colour shown in the last photo.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Lisa. The light here at Joggins changes every minute and it is the perfect place for landscape photographers and artists to be inspired.
ReplyDeleteThe cliffs change colour from a beautiful burnt umber to grey, to a stunning purple and then golden as you walk north along them and walk back through geological time. The best time to visit to truly appreciate the colours is early evening as the sun starts to go down.
The team from Our Place were here late last year and we're so happy with the images they produced for us.
