For those of you travelling to visit us in Joggins tomorrow (Friday, July 29th), there will be a detour as a railway crossing in Maccan where Highway 302 meets Highway 242 is being closed for maintenance from 12 noon until 12 midnight. Visitors coming from Amherst will continue on Highway 302 to Newville and turn right on to Boars Back Road (the majority of this road is unpaved) and travel through to River Hebert and on to Joggins (see map). Those visitors travelling from Parrsboro will also detour through Boars Back Road. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
